Asia 2001 - Contact

Contact represents both a breakthrough and a nostalgic cast for Asia 2001, marking the culmination of an artistic journey that simultaneously reaches new heights and circles back to its origins. The tracks exhibit a complexity on one level while retaining a simplicity and human element on another, evoking a sense of chemistry that feels natural and embraced.
For some, the album may be perceived as a self-indulgent fusion of influences from the Goa sound intertwined with contemporary compositions, all adorned with Asia 2001's signature style transitions and driving rhythms. Together, these elements coalesce to form an unrestrained sonic experience.
Martin Cooper and Avichay Avigal penned and recorded the album in France and Israel, with additional mixing and engineering by Avi Algranati (SpaceCat).
Cooper's and Avigal's upbringing alongside Goa Gil, Laurent Garnier and others, underscores their deep roots in the scene. As pioneers who defined the essence of Goa Trance and placed the genre firmly on the map, Asia 2001's legacy is undeniable. Their fingerprints are indelibly stamped on the foundations of the French/Israeli Goatrance scene, exerting a lasting influence on the psytrance movement.
