Domino - England /Japan DJ Domino is the first trance female DJ to be recognized all over the world. Her no holes barred DJ style is full of dynamism and energetic melodies which she herself trances out on while playing. Born in Worcester, England in 1972, Dominos exotic appearance is a result of her West Indian, Chinese and British ancestory and to add to the spice, she was raised in Goa, India. Goa being a place where people go, amongst other things, to make, exchange and hear electronic music, she was naturally influenced at a very young age by all kinds of bands such as Front 242, Yello, The The, Kraftwork, Nitzer Ebb and many others. 1995 was Domino's overseas DJ debut in England with Juno Reactor (Ben Watkins, Mike Maguire, and Paul Jackson). She was the opening DJ for the event and, would you believe it, still used her walkman. She got such an amazing feedback from the crowd Juno decided to include Domino in the tour for the year in England, France and Greece. During her stay her in Japan Domino also wanted to give more opportunities and confidence to other female artists and DJ's in the music scene so she created a new project with other female organizers involving only female artists, VJ's, decorators and PA. This S.M.I.L.E. organization has since organized three all-female events, all of them big successes. A female who was brought up in the so-called "sacred place of trance music" is now giving full energy, strength and love to the world.
